The HD cameras are linked to a microchip computer which uses artificial intelligence to evaluate alert and crowds with a pre-recorded message each time it spots people not following to the distancing or perhaps even masking norms

With schools and colleges reopening, the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER)-Bhopal has implemented a camera-based monitoring system to ensure that students follow distancing and masking practices.

The researchers installed the system at the institute in October 2020 and are intending to arrive at the device open source besides a tutorial to help others to install it. The product can replicate hand policing in crowded places. "We needed a simple advisory system to warn students against breaching distancing norms via selected locations. This device can be used at crowded public places to make sure that the standard safety rules aren't violated," stated Dr. PB Sujit, connect professor on the department of electric engineering and computer science with IISER, Bhopal.

Wearing masks and maintaining distance can considerably reduce the risk of contracting Covid 19, which mainly transfers by means of breathing droplets expelled by people that are infected whenever they converse, sneeze, scream, and cough.

Others involved in the project were Dr. Mitradip Bhattacharjee and Dr. Santanu Talukdar, assistant teachers, Dr. Venkateshwar Rao, assistant professor in the department of substance engineering, and student Kasi Viswanath.
