Sweta Singh is an Indian news anchoring veteran with more than two decades of experience in the field. She was born on May 28th, 1972, in Bhagalpur, Bihar, India. Her father worked at a steel factory while her mother was a homemaker. Sweta completed her schooling at DAV Public School and obtained a Bachelor’s in Arts from LNMU (Lalit Narayan Mithila University).
After graduating, she moved to Delhi and worked as an Amar Ujala TV channel program producer. She then joined Sahara Samay National news channel as their Hindi Editor & Anchor, where she worked for two years before moving to Zee News in 2002. She had some memorable moments during her stints at Zee News, such as covering crucial events like the Kargil war and the Gujarat earthquake.
